Easter event 2023 wrong price?

I just got the "Colorful Box" from easter event merchant.

Price says 11199 eggs.

I checked my event res in Mayor's house before I got it and it said I had 15,2K eggs.

Now after I have only 954 eggs. That doesn't add up.. should be around 4K eggs I should have left.

What happened to the remaining 3K eggs?

There is only one "Colorful Box" to get so I can't verify it, but maybe someone else can if you're gonna get it later?

I don't mind that much but it seems strange. Maybe I saw it wrong when I saw 15,2K eggs before I got the box but I don't think so, or maybe the 15,2K was wrong in the first place, idk..

I tried restarting game, but it still says 954 eggs left.

restart before buying, numbers shown instore are often wrong, esp. if you just loaded and had some trades expired, or you look a bit after trades expired. wait or load get correct Nrs from servers.
Goes like that for months, if not years.

Edit: you say about box, other person talks about chest.
