Welcome, and thank you for starting the conversation.
As you can see people are impatient and think that simply having a forum thread means they can complain and demand.
Take your time and join in the game - some of us have been playing for years.
Learn the settlers way - with patience comes great rewards - experience a year in the life of the settlers to see how events and features are managed.

As a long time player (who hasn't really played much for a year or so) I am glad to see things moving.

I quite like the way the game Satisfactory deals with feedback/suggestions/bug reports, they have a dedicated "questions.satisfactorygame.com" website which works a bit like reddit with upvoting and comments which really helps with keeping things organised, it works a lot better than forums/messageboards which are a bit old fashioned at this point. I think something like this would be a good priority to help keep things organised from the start.

Other than that, what is going to be the approach towards third party game clients? The authors have been against adding anything like cheats, but they have managed to implement some stuff that bluebyte had promised for the official client but never got round to (sending bulk explorers).

    Hi Mirade,

    First, welcome.

I saw that main communication will be in German and English now.
For others players who play in others regions, do you think it will be possible de transfert our user to German or European server ?

Thanks for your answer in advance.

    Regards,
    Bacterie

I'd like to echo BlackHeat. At least take a look at the modified Client. Yes I know it's borderline piracy, but it has implemented loads of additional features that the player base has been asking for... Mass explorer send with templates; Managing generals for adventurers (loading/moving/attacking); managing buffs and production chains, even simple stuff like finding buildings. All done by a handful of developers poking around in the API.

This is why we don't understand when UbiSoft say a feature like mass explorer send is "in development" or "too difficult". Someone has already done it!

Hi Mirade, welcome to you and the team!
I'm glad that TSO has a future, I feel there is a lot of potential and I'm excited to see what happens.

You may start to feel that you've inherited some problems in customer relations. I think a lot of players got used to things being overpromised and underdelivered since the transition to Unity. These issues can mostly be avoided by managing expectations—do that, and you'll be fine! Communication and transparency are key. So far, it looks to me like you're off to a great start

As Blackheat mentioned, some players have continued to use the now-unofficial client (which BB gave us when Flash ended), because it has been further developed to contain features which were promised by BB but not delivered. If you understand why the client is appealing you will know what the game needs to keep players engaged.

The takeover of the game is in itself good news... and a sign of hope... However, once again, the Francophone community is being neglected. No access to a French forum, no support, no BB. To be able to post on the forum, I had to create an account on the English server... with which I will not play, as I already have enough work managing one account. We therefore fear that we will not be able to benefit from the same support as Anglophone and Germanophone players from our servers. I hope this aspect will be taken into account in the near future and that Francophones will no longer be considered as second-class players.

There is nothing wrong with a bit of scepticism, and I imagine you have your reasons. We see constructive criticism and different opinions as healthy and valuable. We believe that balanced and sustainable solutions depend on developers and players alike being open to diverse perspectives. The vast knowledge and experience of long-time players are of great help here. We're grateful to those who share their feedback with us, and that includes constructive criticsm, of course. Perhaps, over time, your view of things might change.

There is still quite some groundwork to cover before we can start to analyse the options we have and look for feasible ways and means to improve the situation for those players.

The FAQ will provide some information on our rough plans and what lies ahead of us in the coming months. And you are absolutely right, it's important to manage expectations. There are many topics for which we cannot provide definite answers and concrete details yet. We haven't had enough time yet to thoroughly analyse and dive into each topic. This is important, though, to be able to make informed decisions. That means we'll take the time to observe, learn and understand things first before we consider the next steps and decide how to proceed. Our top priority at the moment is handling the technical and organisational transition, which is already a major effort on its own.

We understand that this change has disappointed some of you. We chose German and English because these two languages cover the largest part of the community, and English is also widely understood by many who don't speak it as their first language. This decision wasn't made because we consider anyone less important. For practical and efficiency reasons, we need to focus our communication efforts to keep them manageable and streamlined, which means cutting back in some areas. I appreciate that you took the time to post here and share your thoughts and concerns. Thank you!

Google translate is your friend. The quick fix would be to link the french server login to the english forum or give everyone access to both english and german forums through 1 account

The BB support issue has been a log standing gripe- to be honest- even before the flash issues, the single biggest issue players had was the (lack of) support from Bb and the automatic ticket closure without solving the issues - If the new support structure can fix that, it iwll go a long way in reestablishing trust - Now people muddle through with games/quests being stuck and not fixed (disappearing generals, ghost ships that ghosted away- subquests not showing up and never be fixed etc etc)

Maybe a suggestion of lessening the llanguage impact is to have a few sub forums in different languages, to make it easier for the players of similar languages to communicate with each other without fear of being banned etc - (so not only server sections but general other language sections, i think there is fairly big spanish speaking population across multiple servers, same for french speakers and there has always been a fairly big polish contingent as well - some data analysis would identify 1 or 2 others as well )

Welcome to settlers Mirade...I am based on the Ares server and have had to create new account in order to post on this forum. You should note ehat there are no comments from any Zeus or Ares players which is basically your North American player base. Think we all welcome a fresh new look at the game and are looking forward your FAQ update. We would all like to see to new challenges and adventures, more land and enhancments like sending explorers on mass. There are few issues unique, I think to Ares that need attention. Our General Chat disappeared months ago...we have to use Help chat for general conversations . As well our Guild Market vote has not worked since the Guild event...months back...both have been reported but nothing done about them....thanks for listening

I will welcome Cipsoft in game only after i see changes in game for the good of the gameplay.

My big question after i read about your company in wikipedia and your other game tibia and the many thousand bans there, is if you plan to make the "client" as illigal software and ban the accounts use it.

If you don't know the history of the client, they use it from BB when the flash player stops, and until find a new solution to play the game. But because the "new solution" have too many bugs and make the game allmost unplayable many players still use it until now. And of course and for some other reasons, because some players add in client "extra feautures" like automatic send explorers, templetes for buffs the island, even to make templetes to do adventures allmost automatic.

If you plan to make it illigal, what you plan to offer to player community to make the game playable again?
I play also in Greek Server and there when the BB "offer us" the new solution to play the game (with out the client) many players lost generals when send them to adventures and the support never give them back

Also as another players said, i hope my reply in the forum don't ban me again (is not the first time )
