You need to be able to walk period and this game is preventing people from progressing. This may have been fine 10 years ago when the max level was 50 and everyone was actually starting the same time but the situation has changed and so has the player base. I imagine 80% of players never get to 40 before they quit and 95% of players who don't join a guild don't get to even 30 because the game isn't allowing people to progress. I could have mentioned 10 other things about the levelling process but this is the worse one because it stops progression.

I actually played as a Lone Ranger when I first started & at a time where only 2 explorers were available & maybe a max of 3 gens & yes I did play Island of the pirates over & over to get to lev 50 (took about 500 of them at 3k xp per adv, lol. There is a massive disparity between items in merchant & actual trade so this is a huge stumbling block for new players.
With many new things introduced since those early days you can now level up in literally minutes, split city with buffs comes to mind.
As for many new players quitting before they get anywhere yeah unfortunately that's always gone on, you start with a tavern gen & couple explorers, troop rebuilding is tough early doors, like you said access to adv are slim. Joining a guild can really help though especially in events, Our guild regularly give away huge amounts of event resource which helps new players & pretty much all the others do the same. Try hang in there as the game hopefully will get way better with new devs who may actually release stuff promised years ago!

I am trying to improve the game for new players. Progress should not be dependant on being given stuff from other players.

The tavern explorers take so long to do adventure search and often just bring back 3 maps fragments. At that rate you can buy an adventure once every 20 days or so. Map pieces are only available to new players once they get a rarity provision house which is only available once a year. I don't even think it is possible to buy one for gems. Otherwise, you are at the mercy of other players giving map fragments to you so you can progress.
Yes you can buy one with gems. However adventures brought with map frags is not the only option available to new players, they can also be obtained through trade. New players have to learn how to use every tool in the toolkit the game provides. All it requires is the willingness to ask about what they need in global channels, there are plenty of experienced players willing to pass on their knowledge to the new players.

I see that now in the store - thanks. A new player doesn't have much to trade for map fragments.

All I would like to see is the map fragments being increased for 12 hour from 3 to 10 or so. Or they could have a recurring quest to do 5 adventures searches and get 100 maps pieces as a reward. Right now I don't even want to send them out on adventures searches because it costs resources and getting 3 map pieces after 12 hours is too disappointing.

I don't think this would make things 'too fast' as the other guy was concerned with nor remove the ability to trade. The game has quests to direct the players to use the trade office - about 5 of them so far I believe I have come across so learning about that is already covered.

We cannot provide a reliable estimation at the moment since this is a complex undertaking which consists of various steps. As mentioned in the FAQs, the whole transition phase will definitely continue into next year.
