So why was getting weapons as loot for adventures abandoned again?
Usual phrase is 'to balance' something or other
They made all the weapon production buildings redundant and you got far too many of some of the weapons, why make crossbows when you can get more than you would ever use from running victor the vicious a few times. Canons and Crossbows were worth less than bronze swords at one point since you got tons that never got consumed.
Yep exactly like Kotugo said. I still have like 130k of crossbows and +50k of damascenes due the loot back then.
That is very true, similar here, but anyone starting playing since has been reliant on gifts from those with weapons in guild or had a heck of a time gathering crossbows, dams and cannons. (I must have given away over 100k crossbows, dams and cannons since the change). Would have been fairer if BB had stripped our stock out when they made the change......Would have been as unpleasant for us back then as it is for newbies now looking to make top end troops.
You guys think it would be viable as a tiny amount again? Since we can't call the production of (for example) cannons well balanced until you reach level 61. Or is that going to disrupt the game again?
No. What they originally also said is to have the game work as intended so you actually manage production chains, trade and use resources. You don't need unlimited of cannons for example and you can get the resources from adventures. You don't need lvl 60+ mines mines.
