Unhappy Cannot log in: Linux Flash player issues

    Hi,

this morning when I wanted to start my game, TSO complained that my flash player is not up to date and that I should update it.

However, when I am taken to the Flash player site, it wants to install version 11.2.202.429, which is the version I have installed.

At this time, I cannot log into TSO at all!

Got in first time with Win 8 and Chrome today.
However previous couple of weeks struggled to log in , what i did find though choosing a previous log in from history got me in. Luckily my cache had not been cleared as often as usual. So worth you trying.

    Hi Jove,

    The short version:
    • Clear your cache and see if that helps (Please check this post for more information)
    • Use Chrome as your browser under Linux

    The long version:
    • TSO requires a minimum Flash version of 11.2.202 (even in the current version), meaning that you should still be able to play TSO on most browsers in Linux. It might be that the javascript files changed a bit on the server, but that your browser still has them cached. This can result in an exception, which might result in an incorrect message that you have to update Flash.

    • You might or might not know that adobe flash stopped to actively support Linux in 2012. The only browser under Linux that is still being actively updated with new Flash versions is Chrome. All other browsers are stuck on version 11.2.202.429. You can see this on the Adobe website

    Hi Fexno,

    thank you for your reply.

Apparantly, the problem is that i switched to Firefox Developer Edition and this does not include or recognise my flash plugin.

    I'll figure it out.

    Best regards.
