    troops and bug

    hi,

    1. am i correct in thinking the recruits/militia/soldiers are just more hardened versions of each other?
    i.e if i ran out of recruits on an adventure i could just replace the troops with soldiers, the only drawback being the extra costs of making them?

    2. i still have this bug where i keep getting the pop up quest 'defeat the first bandit leader camp' even though my home island is clear of camps.. will this ever be remedied?

    1. Correct, you will notice the same for Bowmen, Longbowmen, Crossbowmen and Cannoneers
    2. This is a bug and the Dev team are aware of it, you can read a little more about it here

    It is not a drawback. Soldiers last a lot longer than recruits, so you can do a lot more with fewer troops if you build stronger troops. IMO yuo are better off producing steel swords and training soldiers than producing bronze swords and training recruits.

    Hi there,

    the reason i was asking was that i have a quest to complete a couple of adventures losing less than 300 recruits and 100 militia.. my way of thinking is i will just use soldiers then, however i have read adventure guides on the forum which suggest using recruits so i was slightly confused as to which troops to use.

    Recruits are easier to produce resources wise, which is why they often get used as cannon fodder!

    But you can use simulators to work out what you need to attack camps with, one I use myself is from this site, you can select the Adventure from the top and also pick the troops you have available for attacks

    Are they?

    I produce more steel swords than I can use with the regular settlers, I have to produce a lot of bandits to use all my steel swords. I dont see any point in wasting bandits on weak recruits then when I can make strong soldiers

    I seem to be losing Soldiers after quest is finished i take 200 do not lose any in battle and when i finish i am 100 short??? is this a bug? it has happened 2X that i have realised

    Wait to see if you have them back tomorrow, they have stated that maintenance will sometimes fix issues like lost troops during adventure travels
    I'm more than likely working right now.
