Building a pine wood cutter on the border between two zones

apparently makes for a very bad pine wood cutter

This must be a bug, right?

hmm, thought it was just because they won't go into the bandits territory but appears they won't cross any border.
In settlers II it used to be good putting woodcutters and hunters near your borders and they would then go and use your neighbours resources

I have the same problem on almost the same spot. I had all forests up on zone2 when I began to run out of pine wood. I then upgraded the cutter (arrow) near the border but actually located on zone5 trying to gather the "sweet spot" (circled red) of pine on the border. However, the forest near zone1 (circled blue) started to get depleted.

I think the forest between zones 2 and 5 can't be gathered at all, BUT the cutters and foresters do cross borders. Can someone look this up please?

I have the same problem in that area. I have more then one foresters and more then 1 woodcutters, but just 1 who has a problem. The problem sounds like missing: pine tree.

I have this problem to. Easy enough to work around but it's annoying!

Those trees are bugged, border has nothing to do about it.
Rebuild your cutter and foresters somewhere else.

The trees are not bugged. Building on the dotted line is what causes this to happen.
If at first you don't succeed, sky-diving is not for you.

    hi all

the 2 build slots infront of the trees are 'well' known bug spots, you can use those spots for fields or residences, but production buildings generally don't work there.

Sorry i have tried to find the original post but unable too, i found the original bug post sometime back in Feb.

    have a good day

    Davey
