When using our purchased premium days, (say 30 for instance), it would be good if we could choose how many to use, rather than use them all in one go.

Great idea, that way we could use them at the end of adventures to get better rewards for the amount of losses sustained.
You don't really understand how BB are making money from this, do you?
Are you a casual or part-time player? Don't want a chatty guild or expect lots of support?
And do you want the chance to earn a few guild coins but don't want to be forced to do guild quests on a daily basis?
