It would be nice to have maybe 3 or 5 loadouts per adventure so we can set all our generals up to transport troops to different adventures. Say if you needed 1250 recruits for an adventure you'd set up your 5 200 generals with 200r and the vet with 250r, then click on the adventure where you do send troops and have another option for "save loadout 1-5". For that example you'd only use the first one, but next time you did this particular adventure you could just click it and select loadout 1 and it would try to match what you saved if you have the generals at home.
If you were doing a clever, you might set it up with all your generals taking everything above recruits and bowmen on the first trip, then 3 generals filled with recruits on the 2nd, 3 filled with bowmen on the 3rd.
