soldiers get better right?

i was thinking that if your soldiers (recruits,bowmans,militia e.t.c.) fight alot they will get better like a rank or if they survive a battle they get better at defending or fighting
if you think its a good idea try making a better answer plz

I think is also good for General also to get Xp and lvl up with every fight win/lose
