there definitely need to be a screen which shows the hourly production and demand for every resource in the game because it is far too complicated to try and work it out

Wouldn't that take away some of the game appeal? Isn't that what Settlers has always been about? I for one wouldn't like that addition very much, because I like to be involved first hand in my city's development and planning. I strongly feel that such a screen would take a good portion of the Settlers experience away, transforming a perfectly good game in a mindless building plopping game for the masses...
But then again I like number crunching, and the much younger audience doesn't )
there is going to be one of these but maybe a simple addition towards hourly production telling how many per hour but that is a unique feature to have mounds of paper for your games use word and calculator to work it out
i am a young person and i love crunching numbers buried in calculations its fascinating
I'm with the old school players on this one. I'd prefer not to have the computer do all the calculations for us.
If at first you don't succeed, sky-diving is not for you.
This might be in the works ! Read devs diary and check out the future of the game.
