I really like the Halloween musicand I do wanna hear it; but on the other hand, it's rather loud... The only way to turn it down is to use the computer's volume controls, and that leads to me not being able to hear other things anymore. So I want to suggest a built-in volume control! Also for the sound effects, because sometimes geologists scare the crap out of me when they leave.

all flash games are incredibly loud compared to other multimedia content. I have to either mute it or turn down the speakers quite a bit. Volume control would be very helpful
Volume control would be awesome, the halloween music is awesome!
At the moment even the on/off aspect of music and ambient sound is flaky in settlers, every new version release needs those options re-selected or re-de-selected where applicable.
This 'user preference' like many others should be stored on the server and effectively set in stone when a user amends the options.
Having linear volume controls would be very useful, even more so if the game remembered your choices after each maintenance.
