Even the Germans were really upset that BB hadn't fixed it over the weekend, so BB did get a lot of feedback about it. However, it is possible to work round it until the problem has been fixed. We expect the table to fail next weekend too, and we prepare for that. Then it won't be a surprise if it does.Quote:

That is entirely dependent on they contract. You can design it so they get a little bit of money for the time that they are on stand by and then they get more money when they are actually needed. This is an extremely common way to do things. You don't need an army of programmers. You need one or two and they would most likely handle a whole bunch of the games offered by BB. There are several online games offered by BB you know.Quote:

So we managed to donate the same amount of balloons in the 24 hours after the list went back up again as during the entire weekend while the list was down. Do we need any more proof that these problems has had a negative effect on the event and that BB should either compensate with some free balloons or more time?
What BB needs to do is recognise that there is a lack of trust , based with some justification on recent past actions on their part, because of their unwillingness to communicate quickly with player relevant information. It is clear that on the face of it the information they gave ( via the German forums initially, which is again part of the problem :() that donating was indeed ok whilst the ranking table was down. It was our decision not to believe them and hold onto our balloons, we can't really ask for special treatment because of this, but they do need to recognise that they do have a problem and be more proactive to address it.Quote:

The complete lack of trust is their own fault and the complete lack of information is also their own fault. They have handled problems extremely poorly in the past and they have repeatedly been very bad at giving out information. In order to restore some credibility and trust, they need to at least show that they care about us and take some responsibility for their faults. They were the ones who broke the event, not us. So if they want to earn our trust back, they need to actually show that they care about us. It's the not giving a damn about the players that's the problem. If they give us some more time as a compensation for the mess they created. People would be much more forgiving off their mistakes since they show that they care.
