A long list
top - the seperation of trade and addies - makes it much cleaner - hopefully
awsome that the mcc should be working fine - maybe we can get a couple of testers to try it out, please :D
getting the naming back on the achivments - very nice ;)
in my oppionion a total waste
the work on the skins - if there are no problems attached
This seems a bit vague- can you clarify:
We sell the lootspots in adventures - usually for either an amopunt of coin or the adventure map- This is a trade activity IMO
However- the new rule states that any adventure request in any form is allowed in trade- Does this include the selling or wanting to buy of a lootspot as well so basically all interactions regarding a running/to run adventure be it traderelated or not, need to go in the new channel or do we still have to trade the lootspot in trade and all other communications in the new channel?
Fog fix - thank you, thank you!
The rest - meh ..... but they are fixes to things that are broken so keep up the good work.
Picking up on the Trade changes... yes this is not clear or actually why is it even needed given the low volumes of chats most of the time ?
If I have posted a "Trade" IMO it should be announce in the trade channel.
I can see where this pointless channel can be used when I offer a free loot spot or need players for a co-op, or are looking to join any adventure...
But posting "selling fish for adventure" is a trade, and is no different from posting "selling fish for 10 adventures", or "cleaning out star, various adventures for sale".
So where would a "Anyone got any spare Woodcutters for sale" go? Its a trade request for some adventures.
I suspect the secret is in the title, ''Looking for Group'' so if selling a ls, looking for a ls, offering spots on coops we would go there but if selling actual advs then we would go to trade - just my guess mind you
Just seems a total waste of time when no-one has asked for this on forum. The time could maybe have been used better sorting things players asked for?
I speak for everyone when I say we do not care about the building skin category redesign or even the implementation of it at the top of merchant, should be low priority and about the coop chat can someone link the suggestion thread about it, curious if someone actually suggested it or developers just implementing random stuff from their head
Last Xmas I ran MCC 18 times, had the fog bug in Mountain Labyrinth 17 times, that means I had the fog bug 94.44444444% of the time. Last week I ran the fixed version of the game and had No fog bug in Mountain labyrinth which means it's fixed or I just hit that lucky 5.55555556%.
Thank you for your comments. Based on the feedback, we have made some changes:
- Trade channel: You can use it as before. If you have an adventure for sale or a loot slot (also for free), you will do it on the trade channel. However, you will not use this channel when searching for a coop partner.
- Looking for a group channel: This channel is mainly about adventures, excluding trading. Therefore, if you are looking for someone to play adventure together, or join your adventure this channel is for that.
I hope this cleared up the misunderstandings - if not, let me know.
Please note that The Settlers Online is a global game, where we listen to the opinions of players from all servers. This request was made to us regularly through the forum, in-game chat, and social networks. Players mainly said that they don't have a dedicated "channel" to find co-op partners if they don't sell/buy slots. We're constantly working on other improvements and this Update also includes some of the fixes players asked for a while.
I would also like to point out that this feedback thread is only about the update. If you encounter any problems, be sure to post them in our bug section.
Completely unnecessary new tab. Doubt it improves anything. Trade tab worked well for co-ops, no need to fix it.
coz it's not needed! bb has complicated anything to do with multiple player advs and I'm sure i'm not alone in my confusion..
ok so now we have a new adv channel (i think). altho i am sure i recall being told there will be no new content until unity is sorted, i am grateful for the new channel and the new pages in merch and the dubious new buff buildings. Much better than something like bulk sending of explo's which i can only presume very few players have asked for compared to these other new additions!
On a less sarcastic note, thx for the mcc fix, long awaited and I'm sure 99% of players are very grateful.

Odd as I play on 5 servers, use 3 server forums and am on facebook chat and not one mention

Also play multiple servers and never seen a hint of this being requested, in fact most of us gave up checking Fakebook as it went weeks/months without a post and never a response from BB when in desperation we try to report servers going missing or crashing during login, so all otheravenues of communication are naturally cut off.
Surprised too seeing as trying to sync between the chat server(s) and the game/static ones has been a major contributor to the lag issues we've had to endure ever since unity was inflicted upon us, not just the delays in a typed message actually appearing in the chat box, but an active chat clearly made switching between maps much worse, often making the difference between horrendous loading times and a total freeze or "out of memory" error.
I respect your opinion, but keep in mind that other players may have a different opinion on the subject, as can be seen even in this thread. I don't remember an event, where this issue was not communicated to me by the players. Imagine a situation where, for example, a group of players will be against the "mass send function" because they would say it goes against the spirit of the game, as it will be an automation process. However, we will have a lot more positive feedback on this, what should we do? No matter what we do, some players will be not happy, and they have the right to voice it. This is part of the feedback.
Every event since Unity was added has included new content. Recently, we have been fully focused on solving Unity's transfer and performance issues. I think we can both agree that most of the problems have been solved and the Unity version is now much better. We are working on improvements, and just because you see a new chat tab, it doesn't mean that in the meantime we are not working on our "much more" desired features.
Do you think the MCC fix or the guild voting issue that you personally asked me during the last week are not "better things that players asked for"? Both are part of this update, in addition to other bug fixes/improvements/reworks. As I said above, just because we're adding X, it doesn't mean we're not working on Y.
You don't have to look far, you can find such a thread on this forum.
Can you guess who said this?

I like the idea, if it's used responsibly I'd much rather do that than suffer the trade tab.
As somebody who does not charge for lootspots, nor pay for them, I think there is a genuine case for a channel where players can recruit and enjoy sharing advs in the true spirit of the game, ie. not for profit adventuring.
Please remember - we know what you most want as players and it is not ignored. However, this doesn't mean we will not introduce other improvements which were requested, on top of bug fixes.
I agree that the trade tab worked for co-ops. But not for trading. Especially during events, the trade tab was flooded with adventure requests. I wouldn't exactly classify it as a high priority change, though I'm sure not a difficult change either, but I'm glad my trade requests won't disappear because someone posted a co-op. I've more than once said I'll have to come back when it's less busy because I couldn't get a word in.
When you have way over 200 explorers to send out every day several times per day and not using programmable/scripting mouses its not fun with all these clicks is my opinion in this matter that i want bulk sending or a option to set default send so it be less clicks.

poor argument as the two are unrelated, anyway, we have an extra chat tab, yay
The new channel is probably going to see some use so I don't really see a problem with it.
The shady dealings on the other hand, has anything been added to this recently or has it been forgotten about already? I don't log in every day so I might have missed stuff for sale, but as far as I can tell there has been nothing new added for several weeks now.
It's a shame this game doesn't have a more useful way of dealing with bug reports and feature requests. Satisfactory (a game) for example has a specific site you post stuff to and then comment on and up/down vote so the devs get a much better impression of what is actually important to the playerbase.
Hmmm, the first half of line 2 is something I've often said when chatting with others, but it appears to have been merged with someone else's wish. Is this some kind of AI generating "new content" by creating posts from random fragments of others?
The 1st response to vigabrand above I find very confusing, as I usually witness a blue "Hello" that appears to be scripted to post a greeting simultaneously on all 3 servers, then fails to acknowledge players' responses after, and the vanishing bug reports make life very hard when trying to follow the timeline/progress of bugsand suggestions. Is it possible you were playing a different game when you saw these "suggestions"?
This is why you see what you think are "double posts", the originals are no longer visible to us so of course we're going to bring them up again at some point. I can't respond to forum PMs because that feature is still not working for many of us and the bug reports for that are no longer visible, nor the ones about the broken cut n paste, so even if the PMs were working, I can't include the evidence.
The use of the "send multiple explorers" issue is not a good example for the point you are trying to make, we would like the feature so we do NOT break rules against scripting, an official solution that does not break the integrity of the game and its data, rather than some ghastly "Pinky" kludge from some bedroom script-kiddie who really doesn't care what corruption that may cause.
Oh new Event! Awesome!
I love the new update.
Some people just like to be awkward, they don't want something just because someone else does wants it, that needs to be taken into account too.
Are copy and paste buildings/specialists "new content"? Half the added stuff has no thought put into it, cooldowns so long you forget they exist? resource requirements so high they are unusable? The new developers are absolutely clueless and never seem to go back and review their stupid decisions, where is the balance?
New content would be useful new features, more space, different ways to play, stuff that actually requires programming instead of copy+paste+edit a bit of text. There hasn't been much work has gone into improving unity, its more a case of waiting a long time so most players forget how the game was before so they just get used to the new poorer experience. Specialist camps still randomly swap positions after landing at an adventure causing wrong attacks, the zoom is still extremely restricted so sending long distance attacks is a pain, the trade window shows less than half the amount of listings it used to, client grinds to a half if left running for long periods of time, memory errors if you are not careful to keep queues short, scaling not working so the graphics look bad unless you fully zoom in, the list goes on.
Some of these fixes should have been sorted years ago. The other fixes/improvements? can you name what they are?
The mass send feature might not have even been needed if the new developer team understood how to balance the game, it's become important because they decided to start throwing far too many explorers at the playerbase, if they had stuck to only giving ~1 extra per event then this likely would not have become as much of an issue. I am sure some awkward player will suggest they love RSI pain and want as much repetition as possible.
