    Halloween, after much discussion...

Our guild have decided the most fun we could have (rather than the golem), would be to have a cross-hairs function and get a zombie in our sights to either make him jump and go run, or splat him

That would have given us more fun for nothing than wasting infinite resourses on killing a golem.

Just our H'apenny worth, and please add your own ideas to this thread

The lack of a quest chain for Halloween this year is another disappointment making last years event better than this one.
Lag is worse too, probably due to the amount of stacks of 25 resources needing to be queued and used on the golem, clicks of collectibles etc.
Adding a 2 day delay between golems was a bad move too, some players could have beaten many more (taking more resources out of the game, if that was the intention)

Hopefully the developers will listen in future - fun is a far more important aspect of games than completing a task or mindless repetition.

I find the whole Halloween event to be a waste of time for players at lower levels. The is no chance of collecting enough pumpkins to make it worthwhile. The adventures that give pumpkins are all to difficult for anyone who has not got crossbows and elite soldiers. the Golems require so many resources to kill that the pumpkins earned are not worth the expense. Here's hoping the Xmas event is a little more fairly organised.

+ what exactly was the idea behind the community-goal? With the previous events, the biggest problem was the unbalanced inter-server competition, but lots of people did enjoy working together and chasing the common goal. Well, there was not much chasing this time. It was just about the first golem, which was even for the low levels easy to do. So not much cooperating, no need to help other players. Actually not much change to even, it was over within a day. Oh what a fun we had....

I do realize it's incredible hard to get the balance right, not too hard and too easy. But this was so far off, its more a parody then a serious attempt of a community event. If they wanted to just hand out 100 free pumpkins, just send them by mail, better then pretending it's an event.

It would be nice to have something simple for once, especially with the added week, we are barely going to be able to draw breath before the Xmas stuff starts.
    Even nogbots need to rest!
    We love our new CM.

    Newfoundland: 20th November 2011 to 25th November 2014. RIP
It was good while it lasted.

the competition should have various steps depending on enemy (golem) dificulty.
so, it should be something like:

    1º golem - 100 pumps
    2º golem - 2 nobles
    3º golem - 1 silo
    4º golem - 2 watermills
    5º golem - 1 friary

...and so on..for example up to 10 levels.

..also why not the server with most defeated golums get a special prize also?

Its like the ballons, click like a monkey and waste your time while not having fun.

I personaly spent a bit of gc to buy some pumps to get my general and 3 storehouses, and imediatly deleted all my pumpkins fields, and I dont want to know nothing about this event because its just to bad. A six year old might find it funny, dunno.

    cheers

If the server with most defeated golems would get a prize, the German servers would win, hand down. Their servers have been alive longer, thus making their average player level higher, and also they get huge gifts from BB regularly for practically no reason whatsoever.
Check out my collection of suggestions to ease up the game. Please do provide me with your feedback in regards of it.

Yup I believe they were given 1 day premium buffs free because of the golem bug....
