    Battle Buffs and Faster Steeds

My two suggestions are...Potions or buffs you can give your general in an adventure or elsewhere which would enhance various of his abilities for some period of time. Perhaps the ability to earn or purchase such potions or battle buffs could be a leveling perk.

Second idea is the ability to earn or unlock increasingly fast steeds for your generals. Whether such faster steeds would be achieves, level perks or purchases could be decided later, but the idea is that as you progress it becomes possible to acquire ever faster steeds.

I agree with part 2 and would like it if it were possible to make a gallop buff to cut down on those long, long walks. A recipe could be made for it to be used in the Rarity Provision House. It could even be part of the loot from adventures.

(sorry woowoowoo, hadn't seen your post when I made mine)

Based on hints dropped on the test forum it appears the long overdue General science system is hoped to be ready to roll out this year. The Champions of Anteria are prototypes for the system. Hopefully steed speed as well as other perks will be part of this, thus negating any need for what you are asking for.
When it comes to Gene pools and shallow ends they can be found at the bar drinking pina colada's
