I have installed the new minibrowser, and when i start it there is komming a blue window that lookes like VLC player but there is not any file to play. nothing else happens. what do i do wrong?

This is due to VLC Player taking over every file type. Follow these instructions to prevent VLC from being the default file type, which will allow the Slim Browser to function.Originally Posted by Sir-Mums

I cant use these instruktions. i use win 10 and when i clik on the button deschribed, win comes up and say that this setting must be done in windows.????
I got one step further than you [in the purple window in settings you find same `set up associations` button in win 10] then got stuck with trying to change ` default programmes for file extensions ` ( whatever that is ).
So I just uninstalled vlc media player and slim browser works now. VLC media player was the best - gonna miss you
If its not significantly better then I`ll re-install vlc and go back to using a browser.

You can have VLC installed and still use the slim browser.
When you install VLC on the "Choose Components" step select Custom and from the shown list uncheck all web/browser/flash related especially web plugins.
Tried the slim browser version some days ago and had to skip it again.
Using mouse wheel in trade or star menu jumps 6 lines instead of 3 - ticket submitted about the issue.
