    Is "sitting" allowed?

Im going on holiday fridag, on skies

However, is it allowed to have someone to sit your account for ya, while you are gone?
It cant directly harm other players.

To those who doesnt know what sitting means:
Sitting is a term used in other browser based stradegy games like Tribal wars.
It grants another user the ability to look after your account, so that it runs like normally. However this should ofc be a trusted friend ^^
It could be like, rebuilding mines, farms and wells, so the economi aint going up in smoke.

if you read the rules when you registered you would've known the answer.

you could have said yes or know, however i have now taken an update on the rules.

    Multi-accounting

Having multiple accounts is a serious offence in The Settlers Online as it gives one player a distinct advantage over the others. The TSO team therefor monitors account creation and bans players using this as a cheat/exploit.

it says only that 1 person aint allowed to create more than 1 account, nothing about another person babysitting ones account while on holiday, as a friendly gesture??

How is this unclear to you? If someone's babysitting your acc their IP is on your acc and on theirs, thus can be considered as multiaccounting.

Because if you are baby-sitting an acount, you don't have it, and you did not create it. So sitting an account does not fall under what BB calls multi-accounting.

And merely using IPs to determine what is going on is a flawed approach... I doubt BB would use that system to figure things out.

One house-hold/location could have more than 1 player. People's IPs change over time (reset your modem, it's likely to change then (not in all cases of course, but it's definitely not the case that a physical location will always have the same IP) and the player could suddenly have an IP that was someone else's before even through they had no connection whatsoever. And some people might log on from a friend's house while visiting, giving their account-history multiple IP locations.

So, as far as I'm concerned, the question still stands and still hasn't been properly or definitively answered...

Unless they put in an option for sitter down the track. The question cannot be answered in yes or no.
