I attacked a camp in VtV, and while it was being attacked the red area did not disappear as it normally does. Can anyone confirm why this happened? Unfortunately as this was part of a block it led to me losing 140 cav, 50 soldiers, and 5 recruits

If you select a camp before it is being attacked, its red area can still be seen, until you close the bandit camp info window.
Regardless of the red area being shown after the fight has started, that camp will not intercept another general though.
If another general was indeed intercepted, then he must have entered the red area before the fight started.
I assure you that the camp did intercept another general after the fighting had started, hence me posting this thread.
I did think that I may have sent the second general too early so I retreated him and then sent him out again. He was again intercepted by this camp. It is not a case of the second general entering the area too early, and the bandit camp info window has been closed and reopened in the screenshot above since the fight was started.
I can see an SECOND camp which is able to interecept. Maybe you get killed by that second camp?
No, it was definitely the first camp that intercepted (the second normal camp was the intended destination so if my general had gone there it would not have been an intercept). The third camp would not intercept either as it is a leader camp.
If you could still select and deselect a camp that is being fought, then there is definitely something wrong.
That could be a sign of severe server lagging, if the information shown on the screen and received from the server aren't the same.

Did you retreat the general that was intercepted, or did you let it fight? I once had the message that a general was intercepted, but the combat report was of what i sent it too. So it was only a client bug.
