    Storage Capacity

My storage capacity is pretty good (I think) and I am big on tool production (4 lvl 5 toolsmiths) for building disposable mines as I need to.
My bronze capacity is full, my copper is catching it up. Heres my question.

My bronze is produced quicker than the toolsmiths use it, so is the bronze production limited by the speed the toolsmiths use it or does any excess bronze get 'wasted'. As a knock on of this, once my copper store if full, will the mines themselves be slowed by the toolsmiths or will I be wasting an additional resource.

Any information would be greatly received.

    Hello TarkatheGreat,

    Unused resources are stored.

Production won't stop or slow down if your storage is full, any resources that cannot be stored will be lost.

    Hope that helps .

That's not entirely accurate, if Storage is full and stays full (as with Bread or Marble) production pauses and the green progress bar in the building info vanishes (Foresters, who behave slightly differently in all things, will say: "Production Time N/A".)

The last cycle does seem to be lost though so if something is being used and reaching capacity and being used and reaching capacity (like Bronze Ingots being used by Toolmakers) each building finishes its cycle and each time Storage is full that little bit of production is lost. Which can add up. Of course once the Tools have filled, and Bronze Swords if they're active too, the Ingots will pile up until they pause then Copper will do the same. Assuming the Mines are still standing.

As Iolanthe said, some of the production will be lost. But if you're producing copper ore faster than consuming it, once your stock is full the depletion of the copper mines will slow down, since the production time is about twice as fast as that of bronze (depending on the placement of your storehouses).
