Dear Settlers,

Here you will find a compact overview of what is new and what has changed in this year's Halloween Event.

EVENT SCHEDULE

Event Start: October 29, ~ 10:00 CET
Start of removal phase: November 19, ~ 10:00 CET
Complete deactivation: November 30, ~10:00 CET

Level requirement: 19+

Explorers only sent and returned during the Halloween Event will bring back Halloween Resources:
In very rare cases, Explorers may find Halloween Resources on arrival shortly after the start of the Event & shutdown phase

Event Calendar


The Event Calendar was overhauled to reward a few new items, for example:

• Ghost General
• Sooty Geologist
• Weathered Notebook
• Witch Tower

There are 21 doors in total: 18 regular and 3 special doors.
You can open one door each day. Opening missed doors for gems costs 100 Gems for regular doors and 300 Gems for special doors.

New Buildings

Otherworldly Shack

A tiny storage shack that uses dark rituals to be able to store more goods that seem physically possible.

Type: Special storehouse, recurring
Size: 1x1
Effect: Increases storage by 20,000. Additionally applies random zone buffs when interacted with.
Upgrades: 3, increase storage up to 40,000.
Price: 1x 4999 Pumpkins | 3x 6499 Gems | per Event (not tradable, not giftable)

Quest:

Once the quest "More Than Meets the Eye" has been completed, the Otherworldly Shack can be clicked every 167 hours to apply one of six random buffs for 2 hours.

The Undead	Turns island animals into zombies.
Living Armor	Turns island animals into living armor.
Restless Souls	Turns island animals into ghosts.
Annoying Loud Creatures	Turns island animals into rabbids.
Benevolent Fae Creatures	Turns island animals into unicorns. The presence of Unicorns improves the production output of Epic Workyards by 100%.
Soothing Rain	Unleashes a soothing storm improving the production output of all Foresters, Sunflower Farms, Flower Farms, Silos, and Improved Silos by 100%.

Witch Coven

A group of old ladies seemed to set up a Bakery of sorts. Those are definitely not cake ingredients.

Type: Buff producer
Size: 2x3
Effect: A buff producer with a powerful effect and a terrible price.
Upgrades: 3, unlocks addition buffs and quests.
Price: 1x 10,999 Pumpkins | 1x 12,999 Gems | Each player can have only one Witch Coven on the map. | (not tradable, not giftable)

Dark Rituals

Risen Army	1 Bronze Cauldron 50 Scarecrow 50 Meat 1 Adventure Tale	10 minutes	Creates 50 Mercenary Soldiers at a blazing speed with a dark ritual. Performing this ritual will reduce food production in your island by 66% for for 6h (Dark Curse Famine: Raising the dead increases the cost of producing food by 3 and reduced the output to a third). Using these Mercenary Soldiers will cause your adventures yo yield half as much experience.
Warmongery	1 Bronze Cauldron 500 Magic Beanstalk 20 Adventure Tale	7 days	Shortens the production time of weapons by 80% for 2h but they cost 3 times as much resources. In addition, in any adventures started during the effect, your forces deal 30% more damage, but they have 25% less health, and your enemies deal 15% more damage.
Reckless Speed	1 Bronze Cauldron 10 Adamantium Ore 300 Obsidian Ore	7 days	You generals move 500% faster for 1h. Afterwards, they will move 50% slower and their accuracy is reduced by 50% for 3h (Dark Curse: Crippling Exhaustion).

New Repeatable Quest: Zombie Invaders

Invading Zombie Crypts appear during the Halloween Event if you have reached level 50 and explored 19 sectors. Defeating a crypt has a 90% chance to grant 1x Witchy Grimoire Page (1-20) and a 10% chance for 2x Fill up Pumpkin Cemetery.

Misc

• A few building values and merchant offers have been adjusted compared to the test server (e.g. upgrade times of Dr Totenstein Dwellings).
• Elder Tree Lighthouse: Activation costs for Fairy Fire reduced to 10 Oil and 10,000 Pinewood (from 100 Oil and 30,000 Pinewood).
• Tower of Bragging Rights: Buff now matches its description. Base activation cost reduced to 3,000 Guild Coins, with an increase of 300 per rank (up to a maximum of 4,900 Guild Coins).
• Mountain Clan Colossus: A graphical issue with its placement was fixed. (Info: Reports about blocking issues and changed size as a side-effect of this fix are currently being looked into.)

Changes at Merchant

• Global Limits Changes: The previous total limit has been increased...
  • Laboratory: by +1.
  • Bewitching Explorer: by +1.
• Blacktree Explorer is available 1x for 3699 Pumpkins and 1x for 4599 Gems.
• Resolute General is available 1x for 6999 Pumpkins and 1x for 5599 Gems.
• Ghost General is available 1x for 5799 Pumpkins.
• Ghost Lantern is available 1x for 5499 Pumpkins.
