Is it really that important that you need someone to baby-sit a game for you?
If BB threatened to delete the account if it hadn't been accessed, then I'd agree with you. But a few weeks off for a holiday should be just that, a holiday, not a time to worry about your little fat virtual men running around a virtual island.
If at first you don't succeed, sky-diving is not for you.
Why question his reasons? Pointless trolling.
You should be aware of this in UBISOFT T&C's
MEMBER ACCOUNT, PASSWORD, AND SECURITY
If a particular Site, or any product or service offered through the Sites requires you to open an account, you must complete the registration process by providing us with current, complete and accurate information as prompted by the applicable registration form. Furthermore, you are entirely responsible for any and all activities that occur under your account. However, you could be held liable for losses incurred by Ubi or another party due to someone else using your account or password.
Short reply :
In most (if not all) games, such activity is called "account sharing", which is prohibited and can lead to account ban if found.
Please make sure to not share your account information like ID or password.
It would be also good to read what Nail have posted above this post.
I've got 2 main IP addresses, as my company VPN network uses a US server, so I did setup a Castle Empire account too, but only used it once.
I also access my account from home in the UK and from Qatar so have different IP addresses for that too, and have a UK proxy server for accessing the BBC whilst in Qatar. I have also accessed my account from an internet cafe. I have used all these IP addresses at various websites that say they monitor IP addresses and have never had a problem. So I think it is only something that is activated if they suspect someone of cheating rather than routine. I'm part of the admin team at another games site and know they ask if other players use the same IP address, as it's common on that site to have several family members using the same IP, but only look into such things when there has been a complaint about somebody.
So the question is not whether it's tracable but rather whether it's allowed
It doesn't expressly say no, but seems to imply it's not allowed. You are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account. Personally I wouldn't bother, when you get back from holiday your island will be there, your store will be full of logs and planks, your mines, quarries and fields will all be empty, but apart from that nothing will have changed

It sounds like your trying to say that your not alowed to share you account details, but then say read the post from Nail above, but that says you can share your account info (-:
And the question is not how it is for most games (most games do allow account sharing, btw, and most web based mmo's alow sitting, but through an ingame option), but how it is for this game.
No, it isn't allowed... But there shout be an update, where you could pick players to "sit" on their friends acc...
