You will get these licences back as the mine exhausts, not as you tear down the depleted.

I have been trying to connect to a friend at work and even when we are siiting next to each other we cannot make a connection

if we try by email it says we are registered, but we cannot connect by name

You're probably on different servers, there are three for the EU. Mouse over your browser tabs and you'll likely see Sandycove, Northisle or Newfoundland, there's no communication between servers so if you want to play on the same one one of you will need to start a new account (or contact: Support to have your current account deleted) and begin again on the other server.

Multi-accounting

Having multiple accounts is a serious offence in The Settlers Online as it gives one player a distinct advantage over the others. The TSO team therefore monitors account creation and bans players using this as a cheat/exploit.

Basically, it's unfair for one player to have access to extra Islands of production, one account per player per server means a level playing field for everyone. "When" PvP arrives it would be an even larger advantage.

You can however have accounts on more than one server, lots of people do that.

If the geologist finishes his search while I'm offline, there is no lasting report of what he did or didn't find. Am I mistaken? I find this annoying. I have to first remember that I had actually sent him off, then scroll around looking (hopefully) for a new deposit. Just once I have been online when the geologist reported that there were no more deposits of that type (copper) available. I've been trying to boost marble production, so sent the geologist out to look for more. When I logged back in there was no new deposits, at least not that I could see. I assume that means I've hit that limit, but there doesn't seem to be anyway to be sure?

Am I missing something?

sorry, i am lost with the game thinking system. how to do the Quest: recruits do not suffice? i have all mine stopped (lvl 1) for coal and iron. Stell Weapon a1 at lvl 3 and 1 at lvl 1. working. all other Jobs using cola and iron are in sleep mode.
any idea, tips, help? pls help!!!

I've been making suggestions to the game lately, and to make them more user friendly I also make pictures. Is there any icon packs from the game or something similar to download? Because making screenshots and cutting out the icons is a bit tedious in the long run...
