    Greetings,

A player asked whether the guild festival is a fixed part of the event calendar and, if so, how often it will take place. It's not part of the regular event schedule. It may be held between two major events if there's enough time. At the moment, we don't have any plans for the guild festival, as our focus is currently on the transition and migration.

You didn't lose your island. You can continue playing as usual on your game world. The change we announced relates to written news articles which we will post in German and English on the German and UK/European English website.

hello, as I always wrote in the forum, here are some of my tips if you want the game to improve and embrace millions of players:
    1) bring it to mobile devices, ex. android, ios ect (if you don't do it, the game will die).
    2) give the possibility of moving your island to the "europe" server.
    3) possibility of sending all the explorers and geologists together.
    4) create more difficult but smaller adventures with better rewards.
    5) create guild skills/perks in which everyone contributes resources, to unlock guild upgrades (ex. attack lv1 +0.5%, lv2 +0.6%, ect.)
    6) create guild tournaments where diamonds are won.
    7) create more interesting challenges between guilds.
    8) give the possibility of seeing the activity/inactivity of a player.
    thanks.

    Cipsoft,

I hope you have someone at Cipsoft that is very good at coding Unity. Surely what has driven away the most players from The Settlers Online is the crippling performance and connection issues following a very poor conversion from Flash to Unity. Right after the conversion the game was almost completely unplayable, but there are still significant performance issues crippling the game even years later, such as the game freezing and crashing when visiting and buffing the islands of friends and guild members. These issues have been reported repeatedly without any solution, giving the impression that Blue Byte simply doesn't know how to solve the issues. Here's one of the more recent topics about it:

Blue Byte has also apparently ignored other bug reports they don't know how to fix, such as explorers losing the Easter Egg Tree buff when players are disconnected from the game or it crashes. This was reported years ago multiple times and remains unfixed:

    Hi Cipsoft,

I just saw the Summer event update news on the homepage. It's great, but there is nothing about the event on the test server. Does it mean you don't intend to use the test server anymore? Or aren't there any new items during this event?

The news about the game update on 4th June says, "This update includes the technical implementation of this year's Summer Event, which kicks off on June 10."

Can you please confirm as the 10th is a Tuesday, and events have generally started on a Monday. Not important either way just good to have the correct date in the diary.

Either way it's a refreshing change to get this information so far in advance.

    Thank You

As reported by Bob please can you confirm the date of the event. 10th June is a Tuesday & since Dec 2012 (my join date) every event has been on a Monday. Last year's football event started on 10th June so just checking you've not reported that date from the archives?

Although there is no response here, the overview date has been changed:
This update includes the technical implementation of this year's Summer Event, which kicks off on Monday, June 9. (June 10th is struck out)

    Greetings!

I followed up on the date earlier just to confirm. Fortunately so, as it turns out the correct date is indeed June 9. I adjusted the news article already.

Great news, thanks. Do you have any updates on the test server question?
